New Job's got mad perks!
This first week of work has been fabulous.

Thursday: apple fritters from the market were...
New Job!
Okay, not new.
But new to 2010.
It’s my third summer back with this company, but this year I have a new (better!) role.
This year is different. I’m stepping back into the office to prove myself as a forward-thinking, career-motivated, creative & innovative gal… and not a summer student.
I won’t be fetching anybody coffees, or answering phones. I’ll be an key...

Simple Tuesday
Getting dressed with nowhere to go is so difficult. But I had this brand new skirt sitting in my closet that just wanted to be worn… so now I need to make plans.
I was pulling out all my best model moves. The ones I’ve obviously adapted from watching Zoolander.
I’m a total sucker for a good button. All my favourite clothes have some kind of neat button - jackets, skirts,...

Jack.
So, I have this dog.
Jack.
Since Jack was a puppy, he’s been escaping to tear around the neighbourhood sans leash. It used to be so difficult to get him back inside, and the neighbours would give us these looks like “oh my god. . they can’t even keep their dog inside” or something. (exaggeration. our neighbours are chill.) My brother and I would run around like fools...

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him. (Oh, man, this is so bad, it’s good). A super-calloused fragile...
Springtime time.
My walks home from school this past week have been oh-so-lovely, especially through the blooming park. For such a smoggy, industrial city… the views ain’t so bad!
Aren’t the colours stunning? It never ceases to amaze me; the things you find in nature. The only thing left to make these springtime walks perfect, is a gentleman.

Update on life
Well, in 5 days, I wrote 4 exams. I’m moving back home to my parents today, and driving in to write my last exam on the 26th. I have (almost) just completed my second year of university, and am half way to a degree, and that’s a crazy thing to think about!
I am ready for summer because I think summer means some carefree adventuring with friends both old and new, and I feel like I...

So you guys want to see my room, eh?
Well here you go. A quick little peek at my corner of this house.
Happy Sunday!
In under 2 hours. . .
I wrote a literary masterpiece on my essay exam last night.
Thought you’d want to know.

I'm not done yet, thank you.
Not too long ago, my parents took me out to a nice dinner. A “we’re glad to have you home” dinner. We tried a new bistro downtown that had been getting raving reviews since the grand opening. The place was cool. It was warehouse-chic, and fantastically urban. I really dug the ambiance, and all the unpronounceable items on the menu that lay in front of me.
But there was just one...

Update - I’m surviving.
I’ve got a weeks worth of posts all queued up for ya, but here’s real live proof that I’m doing what I should be doing (studying), and doing what I shouldn’t be (video blogging).
Motivation, where are you?!
