Hello,
This letter is simple. It’s from me to you. All I really want to say is “Yo, quit being so unrealistic. Quit thinking up all of these crazy things that probably aren’t going to happen. It is depressing at times”. But then I also really want to say “Whoa whoa whoa! Who are you! I can’t believe you’re making me feel so excited about life! Let’s...
Do your dharma to get good karma.
Dear Veronica.
Thank you for following! I’ve only lusted you for like…uhm… ever!
Hi everyone!
So, I’m officially the proud owner of www.lynneharris.ca (for at least 2 years).
Doesn’t it ease your mind that you can find me just by typing my name into your address bar (and conveniently adding immediately thereafter the country of my residence’s first two letters preceded by a small dot)?
Well, I’ll tell you - it sure eases mine.
Next step - I gotta lose the...

Hey,
Knowing you has been crazy. I’m proud that together we have been flipped upside-down, sideways, backwards and everywhere else, and still come out just fine. I find comfort in knowing that after everything we have dealt with with each other, we can still come back to this place of safety. But most importantly, I’m proud that after two thousand, one hundred and ninety days, we can...

Dear (all of) You,
Thanks a bunch for being fun.
Some of you act as my rock, pulling me back down to earth when I dream a little too big, where some of you act as my personal cheerleader, encouraging and rooting for me even in unrealistic situations. Both roles are necessary, and equally important - both roles work for me, and work for us - and it’s super super great.
I am really proud...
He Said, She Said.
52hearts:
He said, “You hate me. You’re always going to hate me.”
She said, “No, the problem is that I love you—I love you too much, too much to ever stop.” And in that moment she can’t believe she admitted it after so long—after one thousand, four hundred and sixty days of days of being apart, of summers, winters, springs and autumns alone but still attached, of year after year shedding tears...

Uhm yeah. He chooses me.
Well everyone, it is that time of year yet again.
Time where my darling [redacted] leaves the Bachelorette knowing that this all happened for a reason. Knowing that it is a blessing Ali did not choose him, because now.. he can choose me.
Yes, that’s right - the rejected Bachelor chooses me.
I can’t tell you whether it’s Chris or Roberto because that’s no fun for anyone...

My week up north was fabulous, but I am really glad to be back home with the comforts of a flushing toilet, a hot shower, and the internet.
My family and I took a hike through an old growth forest on Temagami Island a few days ago, and we got lost. I was really exhausted, and super hungry. Also perhaps bored, or seeking attention (?), and hence this video.
“Don’t worry Lynne, if you...
Off again!
I’ll be off the grid for a week starting tomorrow, so sorry for the lack of posts upcoming in advance.
I’ve got a backpack full of books, and a cozy screened in porch waiting for me.
Here I come, Lake.

Me to We Kenya Trip: May 2011
In 2006 I was invited to attend a keynote speaker series at RIM Park in Waterloo ON, where Craig Kielburger would be presenting amongst a few other inspirational figures. I was most excited about Kielburger after having watched videos in school about what he had done with his non-profit organization Free the Children, which he founded when he was only twelve years old. From a young age, Kielburger...

30 day letter project.
I read these all of these fantastic pieces of writing on other blogs, and I mean they are real pieces of writing. Ones that come straight from the soul of a stranger and then they penetrate my heart and my body and my tear ducts and make me feel all these weird and crazy things, and then they make me sit and reflect and think “Why don’t I write like that?”, and...

Got the Northern Ontario Blues.
In my opinion, there is little better than a long weekend spent up at the cottage.
We started the weekend off on Canada Day; a long drive up with the boat in tow:
We set up a new Muskoka chair bench on the point of the island, and watched the sunset as puppy-dog Jack did some swimming:
I caught some serious rays (maybe a few too many. ouch.):
I watched my poor book go for a nice long...
