We Day 2011!
I had a really amazing day yesterday.
Yesterday was We Day.
I volunteered as part of the “booths” team, and lucked out with a really awesome placement up in the Air Canada Club, which was reserved seating for.. well .. rich people. This gave them “backstage” access to a lot of our acts, which means that I got “backstage access” to a lot of our acts. I met Spencer West, Craig Kielburger, Marc Kielburger, the Kenyan Boys Choir, Neverest & some cast members from Degrassi. It was AWESOME.
We Day is something that I am behind 100%. It is “the movement of our lifetime”, and I’m taking part of this movement to make a difference, and be a part of that change. We were reminded again and again that together, we can change the world. We Day is a full day of inspiration, motivation, and energy - I already can’t wait for next year.

(I unfortunately forgot to bring my better camera, so the event was instead throughly documented on my iPhone.) - This is the Air Canada Centre, first at around 6am before the schools started to show up, and then again around 8am when the entire stadium was packed.

Here’s Spencer & I - he just wrote a new book called “Standing Tall”, so naturally, I got him to sign my copy. He’s got a pretty inspirational story, and I’m totally in love with his main message, which is to “redefine possible”.
If you happen to follow me on twitter, you may have seen some other “exclusive” photos as I was practically live-tweeting the entire event (between the clapping, and the tearing up). It was an amazing day, and I still just can’t believe how much happiness has stemmed from the moment I decided to take the trip of a lifetime.
