I don’t have anything very interesting to post today, but I’ll let you know what’s been going on in Lemondrop’s head this week.
I got a really exciting assignment at work. We’re renovating the company website… and they want me to write the staff bios (there are about 20). They want something that showcases strengths, but also has personality behind it - all written in this anonymous “ddc voice” that has yet to be established. Anyways - I’ve always been interested in copy writing, so here’s my chance to prove myself a little! I’m so far having a lot of fun with it.
I went to my new house this week & cleaned our cob webby basement like a mad-woman. It’s still not beautiful (the basement that is), but it’s certainly like a thousand times better than before. I am still very anxious to move there officially - only 22 more days! I’m also having a bunch of people up there this weekend to have one last pre-move-in shindig, and it will be my first weekend there with a real bed to sleep in! Yay!
I just discovered that one of my favourite bands, Hey Ocean!, is making tour stops in Waterloo & London in September, and I’m totally going to go see them! For only $12… I don’t see how i could miss it.
My birthday is one month from today - and Patrice and I have to start planning our joint party! We want a theme…it’s both of our 19th… any suggestions?
