This morning, I submitted my application for my dream job. I’m making it happen.

wow. this is beautiful.
So far, my summer has been about discovery. About learning through adventure instead of textbooks.
Kenya was my beginning.
Stepping outside of my comfort zone was a big deal for me. I tried my tongue at a new language, I had deep conversations with almost-strangers, I played silly games with little kids, and laughed so (SO!) much.
Rules confine me. Well, they confine everyone in a sense. But really, they confine me. I HATE breaking rules - any kind of them, whether it’s the law, or the ones that hung on the poster board in my second grade classroom - I’ve always followed them.
I don’t really like that about myself.
Well, I do. But I also don’t.
Fun can be had while following the rules, trust me on that one - but think of the fun I could have while breaking a few (harmless, harmless) rules!
Like, for example - GOING OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE AN EARLY CLASS!!! (Oh my word, imagine that! All the fun I could have!)
Basically, this right here is a reminder to myself to loosen the heck up.
Colour outside the lines.
